In 2018 the HLF funded the first step toward restoring the Normandy Room to its original glory, bringing back the towering windows and the south wall. With the support of HLF contributors, we plan to complete the Normandy Room restoration in two phases:
PHASE I Restoration of the Normandy Room’s west wall and outdoor Veranda, providing a covered outdoor space that connects to the Lobby and expanded 1915 Room Patio. The HVAC systems serving the room will be re-designed and replaced.
PHASE II Complete restoration of the Normandy Room Interior, including the restoration of the original towering windows and doors on the east and west walls and the general repair of millwork and plastering throughout the room.
FUTURE FOUNDATION WORK Restoration of the lobby and entry to the Normandy Room, the east side of the Clubhouse interior, and replacement of second floor hotel room windows. Gunny HarboeOur Nationally Recognized Artchitect,
